Climate Change; What is it?

Climate Change is the warning of the climate of Earth. It is the creation of a greenhouse gas blanket around the planet. The greenhouse gas blanket traps some of the heat rising off the ground from escaping the lower atmosphere. The trapped heat increases the temperature all over the world. Worst of all, the blanket grows every year due to Carbon emissions.

Effects of Climate Change; Global Warming

Climate Change has had many effects on the world already. One of these effects is Global Warming, the increase of global temperatures to a point where forests are more dry than before and ice that has been frozen for thousands of years and have deadly ancient diseases inside them are melting! If we stay on our current path, one day there will be no more ice and the water level would be 220 feet (66 m) higher than today! Here’s a secret: earth with no ice caps is perfectly normal! For most of earth’s history our planet has had no ice caps! Sure it will be devastating for coastal cities but it’s good to know that when everything settles down, earth and its ecosystem will be ok! Which is what brings us to our next topic.

Effects of Climate Change; Seasonal Shifting

Another one of Climate Changes effects is the shifting of seasons. Yep, that's right, Climate Change is increasing and decreasing the time for all seasons. Summer is becoming longer and Spring and Fall is becoming even shorter. The seasonal changes are messing up the ecosystem’s schedule. Such as, if there is a unusual warmth in winter for some time the flowers and plants would bloom, leaving them perceptible to winter frosts. Which is a trend that happens to be more and more in the United States.

Cause of Climate Change

Climate Change itself has many causes including the fact that Climate Change is itself natural but the way we have speed it up is unnatural. Climate Change caused by us has one main cause: burning of fossil fuels. Burning any type of fossil fuel such as coal, oil or gas releases a unhealthy amount of carbon dioxide into the air. Forests usually suck up the carbon dioxide and get rid of it, it has been that way for millions of years. The problem is human kind is cutting down these forests and when there is no trees there is more carbon dioxide.

What we can do against Climate Change

There are many things we must do to restore this world. One of these is planting more trees to help with the forest situation and with carbon dioxide. We also need to cut back on fossil fuels and majorly use renewable energy, but just because nuclear energy is a renewable energy source, it is very dangerous. Other than that we also need to have better waste management as to not pollute the land. Another thing we could do is increase the education in poorer countries so that population wont go up as much as now. Finally , we should use more energy sufficient modes of transport such as electric cars.

Final Note

All of this information is vital for you, the reader, to recognize the things that plague our world and for you to help restore. I hope this information has been useful to you!
